The cost of commercial LPG has increased by Rs 111 per cylinder, while aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices have been reduced by 7%. State-owned oil marketing companies have adjusted their prices in line with global fuel benchmarks, impacting both commercial and domestic consumers. The price of ATF in Delhi has decreased by Rs 7,353.75 per kilolitre, a 7.3% reduction, to Rs 92,323.02 per kl. In contrast, commercial LPG rates have risen by Rs 111 for 19-kg cylinders, reflecting market dynamics and international benchmarks. The Oil Ministry emphasizes that commercial LPG prices are market-driven and linked to global LPG prices and associated costs, with domestic LPG prices remaining unchanged. India's reliance on imports, approximately 60% of its LPG requirement, means domestic prices are tied to international benchmarks, with the Saudi CP serving as the primary reference point. Despite a 21% increase in the average Saudi CP from USD 385 per tonne in July 2023 to USD 466 per tonne in November 2025, domestic LPG prices have decreased by 22% during the same period, from Rs 1,103 to Rs 853. To protect domestic consumers, the effective price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder is available at a lower rate for non-PMUY domestic consumers in Delhi and PMUY beneficiaries.
